Figure Drawing Fall 2010 Part Fifteen


...and as promised a quick return for part fifteen, these drawings are from a summer workshop on exaggeration principles for the figure and using the figure to communicate stories. Our model once again is the inspiring Jason Farrah...


...details of the above full sheet, this was concentrating on the ideas of squash and stretch and applied and directional forces...


....then we got into the idea of "plusing" poses and a concept Walt Stanchfield called "clearing the stage". It's really all about making sure that gestures really clearly tell the audience their story...
